Box Day
Today was Box Day!!! Oh, yippee! Watch me do the Dance of Joy:
(some of you "older" folks may know what the real dance of joy looks like 
) This is the happiest day of the year for a homeschooling mom. Well, at least for those of us who use a "boxed curriculum" it is. What those moms who piece together their own curriculums do for fun, I have no idea. Probably spend their summers writing up lesson plans or something exciting like that.
All the promise, all the potential, aaah... It's a happy happy day!
We're going to be using Creation to the Greeks from My Father's World. It will be our 5th year with MFW, so yeah, we like it. We'll be studying the Old Testament in-depth as well as learning about the surrounding cultures. We'll also be celebrating the Biblical feasts, which we've done lightly in the past but I'm looking forward to going deeper this time around. So now if you'll excuse me, I'll be taking my 300 page teacher's manual to bed with me for some light bedtime reading.

I want to hear about how y'all do the Biblical feasts. Something we've been interested in but not had the umph to actually pull it together.
