Don't know 'bout y'all, but some of our "quality"
family time involves watching YouTube clips. Hubby and I have found it particularly useful for showing our children things from our childhood and proving that we're not (entirely) crazy. Such as why I cannot teach about Henry VIII without singing his name as "'Enery the 8th I am I am". Here are some of our favorites for this week between Christmas and New Year's:
If you haven't seen this one yet, it's really worth it: Christmas Flash Mob by Journey of Faith
One to make you think about how small acts can add up to a big impact: Change for a Dollar
A sweet retelling of the Christmas story as acted out by children. My personal favorite is the poor little sheep waiting in the stable when they get there.
Hubby's favorite Christmas song: Mary's Boy Child We're very amused by their costumes but when you get tired of watching the poor guy in white spandex dancing around, this one with pictures to go with the lyrics is nice
And some silliness the boys love: Yah Das ist Ein Christmas Tree by Mel Blanc
